The Perfect Gift for an Aging Parent

Having an aging parent is inevitable. Sooner or later you will have a father or a mother who is not as young as he or she used to be. You think that giving your parent the perfect gift will make him happy. You remember how he loved this particular book, coffee mug, movie, and other material things which you hope would still be able to make him happy even if the years has taken its toll on him. But think again, at this stage in your parent’s life, do you think he or she would still be overjoyed to accept a material thing from you? What if the thing which can make your parent happy is something which money cannot buy? Say for example, just a mere hug or the mere sight of you?
You have been so caught up with your productive life that you no longer have time to visit your aging parent. How many times have you heard you parent agonizingly ask you when you are going to visit them? How many times did you say yes? Maybe, you never said yes. How about saying no? Probably, you say that every time you will tell your parent that you are busy, you are looking forward to a promotion so you cannot visit him or her. Perhaps, it is just because you are busy and not because you do not want to see your parent.
The best gift which you can bestow to your aging parent is your presence. Visit and spend some time with your parents. Narrate to them your adventures and you might just be surprised how the mere sound of your voice can make your parents elated. Hug them and cook some of their favorite meals. Most of all, tell them you love them for no matter how cold the holidays are, hearing you say how much you love them will be enough to warm their old hearts.

What would be the perfect gift to give to my GF on Valentine's Day?
Were both 14 and I would like to know what a great Valentine's Day gift would be to get her. Any suggestions or advice that I should know? Please help me and tell me what the perfect gift would be to get her. Thanks and Happy Valentine's Day!!
Answer
I would do something for her in school, and if you want to go out after school, then you guys can pick a place. I am a girl, who is a teen, so i can help. haha (:
First things first, you should ask her to be your valentine. Whether you get down on one knee and ask her at her locker, or send her a sweet e-mail or text message. I think its best to ask her in person, cause you get to see her reaction and all. The only advice with this would be to be really sweet with asking her to be your valentine, but be more modest about the card. You dont want to seem too lovey-dovey and emotional, cause that will totally make her shy away.(or not, i dont know her personality)
Give her a single rose. That would be really sweet. You cant go wrong with a card, unless you totally spill your guts out about how much you love her. You can do it, but go easy. By the way, NEVER tell a girl you love her unless you are COMPLETELY sure you do. If you really do, tell her it on Valentine's Day. But your only 14, and most likely relationships aren't this serious. If you cant get a rose, or a card, maybe you could get her a necklace, ring or bracelet. But dont be going to the the jewelers and pick out a 100 dollar necklace. That would be too much, obviously. lol. Another thing you could do is decorate her locker before she gets to it. Thats really cool, because it is totally unexpected. Girls LOVE surprises, or at least i do. lol. So the "decorate-the-locker" thing is totally cool, caring, and playful at the same time. It also wont put her on the spot some other Valentine's Day gifts would. Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure she'll love it! Good Luck and Happy Valentine's Day! (:
