Great Car Accessories For Teens

If you have a new driver in your life and want to celebrate the milestone with a gift worthy of the occasion, you will be blown away with the options out there. There are tons of gadgets, technological devices and just plain cool low-tech items that will dazzle teen drivers. Whether you want to send them out the door on the safest path possible or help make their experience on and off the road more enjoyable, there are plenty of items that will not break the budget.
So, what are some of the hottest car accessories for teens these days? These items tend to please:
Radar detectors - These handy little devices might not stop a teen from trying to put the pedal to the metal now and again, but they can help keep tickets at bay. Make sure teens understand that detectors are not foolproof and they are not a license to speed though.
MP3 FM transmitters - These devices serve as handy docking stations for iPods and other similar devices. They enable the MP3 player to transmit songs in the library to a car stereo. This is great for ensuring that teens will resist the urge to use their ear buds while driving. Plus, the bonus is found in the fact that teens will think this is a very cool gift.
Emergency key chains - Every parent worries that their child will be involved in a car accident. While it is not possible to ride with a teen at all time, it is possible to arm them with the tools they need to survive if an emergency arises. Key chain emergency kits can help out. These devices generally include multiple features. For example, a key chain might also serve as a flash light, a glass breaker, a personal alarm, emergency flasher and even a seat belt cutter.
Hands free phone accessories - Teens and cell phones are practically inseparable. While this might be cute at home, it is not when they are on the road. Encourage safety behind the wheel with hands free devices that prevent them taking their grip off the wheel.
Portable heaters/coolers - Road trips and teens go hand-in-hand. To avoid unnecessary stops at scary gas stations, arm a teen with a portable warmer/can cooler. These devices operate using a cigarette lighter port and can keep stops at a minimum on dark nights.
Car cleaning tools - Help your teen driver learn that responsibility comes along with a driver's license the easy way. Car cleaning kits that include soap, wax and plenty of sponges and buffing pads will remind them to keep their ride looking great.
Visor organizers - These are excellent for holding important papers, CDs and other similar things that would normally get stuck, and even lost, in a glove box. They also can show off a little style with specialty designs on the front, including favorite sporting team logos.
Getting a license is a huge milestone for a teen. Celebrate the moment right without breaking the bank by selecting from the latest accessories to make driving more enjoyable and even safer.
What gifts can teens give special adults in their lives?
Hi, I'm Kemara and I am a high schooler. I used to hurt myself, and there are two people who have really helped me through it without telling anyone or judging me for it and I am extremely grateful for them. Recently especially I left them a note on the back of a school assignment, but they saw the wrong side--the assignment about suicide and death--rather than just the quick note about the bible study I am in...and they thought it was a suicide note, but they still were kind enough to keep my secrets secret, and for this I am very grateful as well. Because of these things I want to give them some gift or something to show how much I appreciate them. I am extremely introverted, so it would be extremely difficult for me to just talk to them about how much they mean to me, so I need a way to do it that I do not have to say anything, and does not draw a lot of attention to myself. Any ideas?
...you probably want to know a little about them...
one is a 26-yr-old. She is in grad school to be a school psychologist
the other is 34yrs old and a mom to three young children

It seems to me that you have a pretty good start right here. To let them know how you feel in a letter with a thank you would be the best gift you could give. Let them know, from your heart, how they have helped you change your life for the better.
