When the family comes tumbling down the stairs on Christmas morning, there had better be something good under the Tree for each one. Up to and including Fido and Kitty.

So ... what to buy for Christmas? Or perhaps more importantly... What Not to Buy?

According to Choice.com.au, based on a survey of 900 customers, here is a list of the items considered to be "least useful":

* Electric wine chiller
* Aromatherapy diffuser
* Electric ice shaver
* Foot spa
* Ice cream maker
* Vertical grill
* Milk frother

O-o-o-p-s! Let's hope you still have that receipt!

On the other side of the spectrum, the same survey indicates that the item listed below are high on many people's Christmas wishlists as being "most useful", so here's a list of What to Buy for Christmas:

* a car GPS system

* an electric toothbrush or

* a USB key
