The cast-iron cookware provides fast, even heat distribution, while its exterior and interior are clad in two coats of enamel, which prevents foods from sticking and is impervious to acids and odors. The unit browns and cooks food uniformly and gently without hot spots and can be used for marinating. The knob on its heavy, tight-fitting lid is oven-safe to 450 degrees F, and the cookware is safe to use on any stovetop, including induction. Sturdy loop handles facilitate carrying from the oven or stovetop to the table, and the piece is dishwasher-safe for quick cleanup.
