When activated, the whistle-shaped Bop It instructs players, via a musical beat, to Pull It, Twist It or Bop It-the top yellow piece of the toy. Players choose from one of three different games: Solo Bop, Vox Bop and Beat Bop. What gets exciting for players is the speed with which the commands are given and the confusion of the players who pull when they should twist or bop when they should pull. Bop It encourages children to follow directions. But they must listen closely to the directions, which sometimes may sound jumbled against the music and the excitement of the other players.
